Most people will deny that they are Narcissistic, and actually a lot of them have no idea that there is a word for their behavior.
In everyday speech, "narcissism" often means egoism, vanity, conceit, or simple selfishness. I would say we all either know someone like this or a few people like this.
And to those people who think that anything I blog about is about them I say GET OVER YOURSELF!

The most recent post (2/8/13) is so sad. How can families turn their backs on each other, especially their own or adopted children? What a horrible thing to do and to have happen. It's time to set aside the pride, the anger, the jealousy. It's time to mend the hurt ad dull the pain. How can a person live with themselves, knowing they've alienated one of their own, regardless of having a good reason or not?! It's been years. Time to get over it!
Reach out to each other, and accept with open arms those that are reaching toward you. It takes a strong person to admit they made a mistake; a weak person would rather just let things lay without addressing and fixing problems. This is shameful.
What can we do to bring the family back together?
Anonymous, it is a very sad situation that I would fix if I could. I would be the first one to fix it if I knew where it all started.
I'm sure that Michael attempted to make amends for what happened, but was told that it wasn't a good enough apology and told he was trying to "sweep this under the rug". There's apologies need to come from both sides and damage done from the other side too. Just sayin, Anon that posted on 2/22/13.
